主讲人简介:

Professor Kathi Kern is the Director of the Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT) at the University of Kentucky. She earned a Ph.D. in American history at the University of Pennsylvania where she was a Mellon Fellow in the Humanities and a winner of the Dean's Award for distinguished teaching. Since 1989 she has been a faculty member in the history department at UK where she won the Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Teaching (1995) and the Alumni Great Teacher Award (2003) and the College of Education’s “Teachers Who Make a Difference” Award (2001, 2004). In 2009-2010, Professor Kern served as the Stanley Kelley Jr., Visiting Associate Professor for Distinguished Teaching in the Department of Religion and the Program in Women and Gender at Princeton University. She is the author of many articles as well as the book, Mrs. Stanton's Bible (Cornell University Press, 2001). As a scholar of the women’s rights movement, she is keenly interested in contemporary women’s political and social conditions and seeks ways to make higher education more responsive to issues of inclusion and diversity.

Kathi Kern教授,现任肯塔基大学教学提升中心主任(Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT)),毕业于宾夕法尼亚大学,获得历史系博士学位,在肯塔基大学任教期间,曾先后获得突出教学贡献奖(1995),杰出教师奖(2003),以及教育学院评选出的“年度影响力名师奖”(2001,2004)。2009-2010年,在普林斯顿大学担任“斯坦利·凯利”访问学者期间,参与宗教、女性和性别项目研究。曾发表多篇论文和著作,研究女权运动,关注当今女性政治、社会地位,并积极寻求路径,培育高等教育的包容和多样性。
