Dr. LI Yonghe, Head of Civil Engineering Dept. and
Vice Director of Architectural Design Institute directly under
Shanghai University. Dr. LI completed his Master Diploma in
Architectural Engineering at Xi'an Scientific University
(originally Xi'an Mining College) in July 1986. He stayed there
since then and assumed assistant, docent, associate professor and
full professor. In July 1999, he received Doctor's Degree at
Wuhan Institute of Rock & Soil Mechanics, The Chinese Academy
of Sciences. In March 1999, he came to Civil Department,
Environment & Architectural Engineering College assuming full
professor and in October 1999 assuming Vice Head and Professor.
From July 2000 up to the present, he has assumed Head of Civil
Engineering Dept. and Vice Director of Architectural Design
Institute, specialized in Structure Engineering and Geotechnical
Engineering and engaged in teaching and scientific researches. He
is one of the leaders in these aspects.

Specialty name: Civil Engineering. This Specialty includes such
main courses as Mechanics of Materials, Theory of Structures,
Hydromechanics, Soil Mechanics, Engineering Geology, Construction
Material, Engineering Drawing, Surveying, Design of Reinforced
Concrete Structure, Design of Steel Structure, Masonry
Structures, Bridge Engineering, Underground Structure, Roadway
Design, Construction Technology and Organization, Project
Management, Engineering Economics, Approximate Estimate and
Budget, Computer Aided Design Architecture and relative specialty
courses.

Important Scientific Researches: 3 items of
National Nature Science Funds Research and 1 item of Shanghai
Phosphor Research.
Prize Researches: Strength and vibrancy of horizontal condenser
and base, won the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology
Progress, 1999.
Research and Practice of Civil Engineering Program Innovation,
won the first prize of Shanghai Teaching Production and the
second prize of National Teaching Production, 2001.
Preponderant scientific research field: ① Fracture Theory and
Application of Concrete Materials and Structure. ② Fracture
Damage and Durability of Important Reinforced Concrete. ③
Time-Variant Theory and Numerical Analysis of Underground
Structure.
