Department of Secondary Education has a team of teachers with well-known names in the arts field in Shanghai and China. There are about 20 kinds of preliminary teaching material with VCD, which have been published by Shanghai People's Publishing House of Fine Arts. Many artistic works were sent to attend a variety of exhibitions at home or abroad. The department established a communication system with other professional schools of Fine Arts in the country and held the nation-wide art exhibitions of students from high school attached to the school of Fine Arts. The department also has comprehensive communication abroad, and successfully held the exhibition in Osaca University in Japan and Wisli University in the United States. Many students' works won awards in the arts competitions many times.

The goal of the department is to train fine arts students with intermediate level and students back up for the senior fine arts academy.

Academic Objectives:

After been strictly trained in fundamental design discipline, students should master the basic knowledge of painting and designing, skillfully master the basic technique of sculpture to set up firm foundation for their further education as well as get well prepared for their future career.
