On the new campus of Shanghai University, there is a library of big scale and complete establishment, which has reading room of Fine Arts resources. But in order to meet the special needs of the teaching and research of the College of Fine art, a smaller sized academic library was established in 2000.

The collection in the fine arts library contains valuable books and literatures with high academic standard and good varieties, among them there are diaphanous books of the replica of Traditional Chinese Paintings collected in Taiwan Forbidden City Museum and many kinds of Chinese and foreign professional journals. The library provides the up-to-date information of arts teaching, professional production and research. At the same time, the library also provides the copying service to faculty and students.
