Department of Arts History was founded in 2001. The department has
profound academic research base of Chinese Culture and Arts and
the faculty has abundant literatures and bookmaking. There are 8
faculty and staff in the department, among them there are 2 professors,
2 associate professors and 3 assistant professors.
The
foundation of the Department of Theory of Fine Arts History meets
the needs of development of the Academy of the Fine Arts and the
deeper research of the theory of arts. The educational objectives
of the department are to train the students who are engaged in
the teaching and research of the theory and history of the Chinese
and foreign fine arts, professional criticism, planning, the arts
markets management, editing, etc.

Objectives:
Students should systematically be aware of the knowledge of Chinese
and foreign history and theory knowledge, comprehensive culture
of Arts and strong ability of writing also needed. They should
pay more attention to combining the theory with the practice and
the research of development of Arts up-to-date. The students should
have good style of study, writing and professional morality.
