The Department of Architecture enjoys the advantage of social science on arts and design in School of Fine Arts, aims at forming the feature of course arrangement and training pattern and trains senior engineering technology people with complex abilities to adapt to varieties of careers and meet the demands of Shanghai city social Construction development.

Academic Objectives
Students should systematically master the elementally knowledge on the Aesthetics of Architecture, Architecture Design, Art design, Interior design, Landscape design and Architecture technology, etc. And the students also have complex skills of construction project planning, creational consciousness of Arts and designing the construction project and drawing in order to conduct or participate a specific Architecture design and constructing.

Course Requirements:
Aesthetics of Architecture Design, Sketch, Color in Design, Design Techniques, Visual Communication, Construction CAD, Architecture design, Interior design, Landscape design, the Theory and the History of Architecture, Construction Materials, Architecture Constitution and Construction technology, Physical environment of Architecture and Construction Facilities.

Area of Engineering:
Academic Objectives
Systematically master the elementally knowledge and theories on construction design, city scheme and construction engineering technology. Professional skills proficient for preside and participate the project planning, making the decision of the construction project design and doing the constriction drawings.

Basic knowledge of Architecture design, survey and drawings, professional expression skills, computer design, Sino-foreign History of Architecture, city scheme and design, Art design of indoor and outdoor environment, Human-computer Engineering, craft of material, engineering budget, social investigation and professional investigation.
