Glass Studio

The Glass Studio was established in 2000 and belongs to the Center of Public Art, it was established by Chinese glass artists with the help of the Art & Design College of Wolverhampton University in Britain. The studio has a whole set of establishments of Kiln-firing, sandblasting, cutting, polishing and casting/lost-wax casting.

Glass is a common material widely used in environment design for its transparent optical effect to lights. The studio focuses on the research of modern art of glass modeling and material of glass art, the studio offers the selective courses for all the academy.

The objective of the studio is to help students to explore the use of glass as a new material and medium in the fine art field.

Academic Objectives:
Students should be aware of developing history and theory of glass arts, familiar of the process of glass arts and crafts, skillfully master the technique of arts and crafts and method of expression, also they should produce the glass art works and perform the design of glass art independently.

Confect of Glass Materials, Arts and Crafts of Sinter, Arts and Crafts of Incision, Arts and Crafts of Glass Decoration, Producing of Glass Arts
