Printmaking Studio was established in 2000 and belongs to the Center of Public Art, the studio has 3 kinds of producing establishments of concave printing plate, convex printing plate and porous printing plate, which provides a good condition for teaching, art practice and research. The specialty of print was established for the above reasons, which rewrites the blank history of Shanghai printmaking education. The objectives of the studio are to train students of artistic printmaking with innovative consciousness and highly social responsibility who can do searches using innovative method of expression for public arts.

Academic Objectives:
Students should systematically be aware of the basic knowledge of print arts and design, familiar of language of print technique, skillfully master basic technique of print and design. They also should be competent for producing and design of print arts.

Wood Printing Plate, Copper Printing Plate, Latex Printing Plate, Craftwork and Technique of Stone Printing Plate Producing, Selection and Exploitation of Printing Material.
